Harriette Mae Taylor Patrick

Services for Harriette Mae Taylor Patrick, 95, Woodward, Okla., will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church in Oskaloosa. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Oskaloosa.Mrs. Patrick died Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at Crystall Wood Village in Woodward, Okla.She was born Dec. 19, 1909, in Topeka, the daughter of Charles Henry and Hattie Checksfield Taylor. She graduated from Topeka High School and Strickler’s Business School in Topeka. She was a longtime resident of Oskaloosa.Mrs. Patrick worked for the Girl Scout office. She later worked in the advertising department at Capper’s Publications as a secretary. She also was employed by the State Bank of Oskaloosa. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Order of the Eastern Star Oskaloosa Chapter 62 for 75 years.She married William “Bill” Huddleston Patrick on Dec. 19, 1940, in Topeka. He died Nov. 12, 1986.Survivors include a son, Curtis C. Patrick, Woodward; a daughter, Mary Kay Thurston, Peoria, Ill.; seven grandchildren; three stepgranddaughters; 11 great-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa.The family suggests memorials to First Presbyterian Church of Oskaloosa or West Side Baptist Church of Topeka, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
