Charles S. Summerville

Services for Charles S. “Charlie” Summerville, 40, Perry, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Perry American Legion Building. Burial will be at Buster Cemetery, northeast of Perry.Mr. Summerville died Saturday, June 18, 2005, at Holton, from injuries received in an accident while working near Delia.He was born June 18, 1965, in Lawrence, the son of Samuel Lee and Nellie Marie LaDuke Summerville. He was a lifelong resident of the Perry area.Mr. Summerville was a heavy equipment mechanic for the Hamm Co. for many years and had worked for many farmers in the Perry area.He was a 1983 graduate of Perry-Lecompton High School.He married Dianne Kay Duncan on March 21, 1997, in Miami, Okla. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include a son, Casey Quigley, of the home; a daughter, Darcey Summerville, of the home; his father and stepmother, Sam and Debbie Summerville, Perry; three sisters, Tracy Roesch, Topeka, and Jennifer Bonham and Peggy Hetherington, both of Perry; and his grandmother Martha Summerville, Perry.Friends may call after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa, where the family will receive them from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
