Services for Tom Rogers, 56, Pomona, will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa. Burial will be in Elmo Cemetery in Elmo, Mo.Mr. Rogers died Monday, June 13, 2005, at his home.He was born June 18, 1948, in Lawrence, the son of Warren Keith and Bertha Marie Jones Rogers. He graduated from McLouth High School in 1966. He majored in industrial art and attended Kansas University, Vanderbilt University, Duke University and the University of North Carolina. He lived in Lawrence from 1948 to 1953, McLouth from 1953 to 1971, Lonoke, Ark., from 1971 to 1985, Williamsburg from 1985 to 1992 and Pomona since 1992.Mr. Rogers served in the Air Force in Vietnam from 1966 to 1970. He attained the rank of E-4. He worked as a senior designer for Global Ground Support for four years and retired Jan. 1, 2005. He was a Notary Public and a member of Friends of the Library in Ottawa.He married Andrea Faith Ames on Feb. 12, 1999, in Ottawa. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, Sean R., Bentonville, Ark., and W. Scott, Anderson, Mo.; two stepsons, Mitchell Scott, Parkville, Mo., and Michael Brown, Pomona; a stepdaughter, Michelle Dodds, Falls Church, Va.; a brother, Bill, Lawrence; two sisters, Carol Whitebread and Teresa Gregory; and five grandchildren.Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends after the services. The casket will remain closed.The family suggests memorials to the St. Jude’s Hospital Cancer Department, sent in care of the mortuary, 235 S.
