Mildred L. ‘Millie’ Williamson

A celebration of life for Mildred L. “Millie” Williamson, 87, Lewisville, Texas, will at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville.Mrs. Williamson died Friday, July 15, 2005, at her homeShe was born June 8, 1918, in Madison, Mo., the daughter of John Robert and Ada Ruth Grier Christian. She grew up in Lawrence, Kan., and graduated from Lawrence Memorial High School. She attended Kansas University. She lived in Lawrence for 18 years before moving to Lewisville in 2003. Mrs. Williamson worked for the Ottawa Herald in Ottawa, Kan., for many years and the Lawrence Journal-World in advertising for a number of years. She volunteered at various hospitals and church organizations. She was also active in many charitable, school and social organizations. She was a lifetime member of The Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.She married Charles W. Williamson in 1942. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include a daughter, Diane Kreger, Lewisville; two brothers, Jack Christian, Ottawa, and John Christian, Emporia; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home of Lewisville is in charge of arrangements.The family suggests memorials to the Susan G.
