Charles Josiah Brown 1923 - 2005 Tulsa, Okla.

Charles Josiah Brown, 83, Tulsa, died Monday, July 18, 2005, in Tulsa after a battle with cancer. Cremation is planned.He was born May 1, 1923, in Junction City, Kan. He attended Kansas University.Mr. Brown served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a decorated pilot. He was a founder and owner of Charleton, Holmes, Peck and Brown Insurance in Lawrence, Kan., and a member of the Kansas University Alumni Association.Survivors include a son, Terry L. Barker, Rio Rancho, N.M.; a sister, Jane Miller, Blue Rapids, Kan.; a brother, Don, Omaha, Neb.; and three grandchildren.The family suggests memorials the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 102454, Atlanta, GA 30368.
