Mildred H. 'Mid' Gibson 1927 - 2005 Ottawa
Services for Mildred H. 'Mid' Gibson, 77, Ottawa, will be at 3 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Ottawa. Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery in Ottawa.Mrs. Gibson died Tuesday, June 28, 2005, in Ottawa.She was born Oct. 12, 1927, in St. Paul, Minn., the daughter of Sam and Maude DeVilbiss Hume. She graduated from Ottawa High School in 1945. Mrs. Gibson was a homemaker and worked several jobs in the Ottawa community. She most recently worked as a pharmacist's assistant at Clinic Pharmacy. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, the church Bell Choir, United Methodist Women, P.A.T.H., Oxford Service Forum Sunday school and E.H.U., all in Ottawa. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and was a former Brownie and Cub Scout leader.She married Dudley Gibson on June 29, 1947, in Ottawa. He survives, of the home.Survivors include two sons, Phil Gibson and W.B. Gibson, both of Ottawa; two daughters, Sally LaPrad, Pratt, and Julie Adams, Edmond, Okla.; a sister, Dorothy Manchester, Ottawa; a brother, Joe Hume, Topeka; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church, sent in care of Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
