Stanley Oakes 1936 - 2005 Winchester

No services are planned for Stanley "Fred" Oakes, 69, Winchester, who died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at Jefferson County Memorial Hospital in Winchester. Cremation is planned.He was born July 29, 1936, in Roaring Springs, Pa., the son of Stanley Ritchey and Charlotte Belle Kegarise Oakes. He had lived in Winchester since 1996.Mr. Oakes was a trucking company executive for 44 years and retired in 1996. He was a member of the National Rifle Assn.Survivors include his wife, JoAnne Oakes, of the home; his mother, Hopewell, Pa.; three sons, Randy, Kansas City, Mo., Jeff, Winchester, and Rick, Kansas City, Mo.; two daughters, Vickie Lewis, Birmingham, Mo., and Kristi Fox, Hastings, Minn.; a brother, Wayne and a sister, Pat Oakes-Allen, both of Hopewell, Pa.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.The family suggests memorials to The Salvation Army, sent in care of Barnett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 416, Oskaloosa 66066.
