Jack Low Jr.

A memorial Mass for Jack Low Jr., 57, Tonganoxie, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lawrence.Mr. Low died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005, in Lawrence. He had cancer.He was born Jan. 20, 1948, in Salina, the son of Kim-quong Low and Thuey-kin Pon. He graduated from Salina High School and received a bachelor’s degree in physics from Kansas University. He performed post-graduate studies in computer science. He was a FIFA-certified soccer referee and a member of the Trinity Episcopal Farmer’s Market Committee, the Trinity Episcopal Church and the Kansas Episcopal Church.Mr. Low was a system administrator and graphics programmer for the Central Computer facility of the Combat Development Center at Fort Leavenworth and a vice president of Graphic Planning Systems. He was an operations research analyst for Sprint, Triple-I and BDM Corp. from 1983 until 2002.He married Tanya E. Lance on Jan. 25, 1969, in St. Joseph, Mo. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include three sons, Thomas E., San Francisco, and Jack L. and Gregory C., both of Lawrence; a daughter, Ann Renee Lewis, Alexandria, Va.; two brothers, Donald A., Lawrence, and Thomas G., Cummings, Ga.; and a grandchild.The family suggests memorials to the Jack Low Memorial Fund, sent in care of Trinity Episcopal Church.
