Matthew Cavanaugh Bailey 1963 - 2005 Lawrence
Services for Matthew Cavanaugh Bailey, 42, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Topeka. Cremation is planned.Mr. Bailey died Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, at Tonganoxie Nursing Center after a long illness.He was born Nov. 23, 1963, in Mildenhall, England, the son of Franklin and Virginia Weston Bailey. He graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1981. He attended Washburn University and Kansas State University on a voice scholarship.Mr. Bailey was a lead singer for many bands over the years and most recently performed with Dreemwich.Survivors include five sisters, Lisa and Katherine Bailey, both of Lawrence, Irene Townsend, Topeka, Susan Bailey, Tujunga, Calif., and Laura Bailey, Los Angeles.The family suggests memorials to Tonganoxie Nursing Center, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.rumsey-yost.com">www.rumsey-yost.com</a>.
