Lloyd Carl Howard 1919 - 2005
Services for Lloyd Carl Howard, 86, Baldwin, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.Mr. Howard died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at the Baldwin Care Center.He was born July 10, 1919, in Douglas County, the son of John Edward and Leona Mae Peters Howard. He graduated from Liberty Memorial High School in 1938.He was a farmer. He was also a road supervisor for the Wakarusa Township for many years.He married Robie Irene LaFavers on Dec. 23, 1966, in Oskaloosa. She died Nov. 10, 1984.Survivors include a brother, Guy W., Norwalk, Calif.Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday.The family suggests donations to the March of Dimes or the Salvation Army in care of the funeral home.
