William Dee Jarrett Jr. 1939 - 2005 Lawrence
Services for William Dee Jarrett Jr., 66, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at West Haven Baptist Church in Tonganoxie. Private inurnment will follow.Mr. Jarrett died Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at his home.He was born Feb. 5, 1939, in Douglas County, the son of William D. and Gladys Bell Jarrett. Mr. Jarrett served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Kansas Power & Light Co. in 1995.He was a member of First Baptist Church in Tonganoxie and Western Star Masonic Lodge F&AM in Lawrence.Survivors include a son, D. Dominic, Norman, Okla.; a daughter, Denise Michelle Thomas, Reidsville, N.C.; several stepsons and stepdaughters; three brothers, Charles L., Lawrence, Jackson E., Tonganoxie, and Timothy J., San Diego; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.A daughter, Kimberly Vonzelle Matthews, died earlier.The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at West Haven Baptist Church.The family suggests memorials to First Baptist Church, sent in care of Quisenberry Funeral Home, P.O.
