William A. Black 1922 - 2005 McLouth
Services for William A. Black, 83, Tonganoxie, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Jarbalo. Burial will be in Wildhorse Cemetery in McLouth.Mr. Black died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.He was born Sept. 7, 1922, in McLouth, the son of John and Naomi Ellis Black. He worked for St. Mary College in Leavenworth and retired from Meyer's Dairy in Basehor.He married Agnes Marie Uhlrich. She died in 1982.Survivors include his second wife, Ellen B., of the home; two sons, John E., Saranac, Mich., and Donald W., McLouth; a daughter, Pamela M. Allen, Pensacola, Fla.; two stepsons, John Bateson, Tonganoxie, and Steve Bateson, Basehor; two stepdaughters, Delores Edmonds, Tonganoxie, and Carolyn Rose, Council Grove; a sister, Bonnie Uhlrich, Lawrence; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.The family suggests memorials to the Tonganoxie Senior Citizen's Club or to the United Methodist Church in Jarbalo, sent in care of Quisenberry Funeral Home, P.O.
