Inurnment services for Eleanor Anne Wickersheim, 93, Lawrence, will be at a later date in Iowa.Mrs. Wickersheim died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.She was born June 23, 1912, in Westbrook, Minn., the daughter of Charlie and Angie Delmage Warner. She graduated from Fort Dodge, Iowa, High School and received her teaching degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa.Mrs. Wickersheim worked as an executive secretary of the Camp Fire Girls and part-time in various offices in Fort Dodge, Estherville and Waterloo, Iowa. She was a past president of United Methodist Women, American Legion Auxiliary and Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also a member of Betty Washington Chapter of the D.A.R., Ladies Auxiliary of the Lawrence Shrine Club, Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Autumn Club and United Methodist Women, all in Lawrence.She married Mervin LeRoy Wickersheim on Aug. 25, 1935, in Fort Dodge. He died Nov. 27, 1990.A son, Allen Wickersheim, died in December of 1995.Survivors include a son, David Wickersheim, Lawrence; a sister, Charla Byommer, Marshall Town, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.The family suggests memorials to the Transportation Fund at the Shrine Hospital or Central United Methodist Church, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.Online condolences may be sent at www.rumsey-yost.com.
