Harold LeRoy Langston Sr.

Harold LeRoy Langston Sr., 84, Lawrence, died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was cremated.He was born Aug. 4, 1921, in Effingham, the son of Louis Francis and May Belle Coder Langston. He wintered in Alamo, Texas, for many years.Mr. Langston served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the South Pacific. He worked for Heetco in Oskaloosa for many years. He and his wife sold permits at the gate at Clinton Lake State Park after he retired.He married Jaquita Mustoe on Dec. 24, 1940, in Topeka. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include a son, Harold, “J.R.”, Topeka; two daughters, Sue Ann Langston-King, Topeka, and Shelley Langston, Lawrence; a sister, Marguerite Zink, Valley Falls; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
