Vera Leona Davis

Services for Vera Leona Davis, 97, Hill City, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hill City United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Hill City Cemetery.Mrs. Davis died Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at Dawson Place Nursing Home in Hill City.She was born Nov. 20, 1907, in Edson, the daughter of James Lewis and Anna Bell Daniels.Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and teacher. She was a member of Hill City United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Order of Eastern Star, Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic and Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.She married William Fabricius on Dec. 24, 1927. He died in 1941. She married E.P. Fabricius on June 24, 1944. He died Oct. 10, 1979. She married Albert Davis on Feb. 15, 1986. He died Sept. 11, 2002.Survivors include a son, Phil Fabricius, Overland Park; a daughter, Joy Lynn Tebo, Lawrence; two sisters, Twyla Cassel, Hill City, and Verda Lohr, Phoenix; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Spencer-Stinemetz Chapel in Hill City, where the family will receive friends for an Eastern Star Service at 7:30 p.m. today.The family suggests memorials to the church, sent in care of the chapel, 522 North Pomeroy Ave., Hill City 67642.
