Louise Maxine O'Dowd 1928 - 2005 Topeka
Services for Louise Maxine O'Dowd, 76, Topeka, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kevin Brennan Funeral Home in Topeka. Cremation will follow.Mrs. O'Dowd died Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.She was born Nov. 19, 1928, in Downey, Calif., to Owen A. and Gladys Blagg Landers. She received her bachelor's degree in education from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.Mrs. O'Dowd worked as a second-grade teacher in the NE School District in San Antonio. She also worked as a substitute teacher in the Salina school system.She married Ron Lehmann in 1950. He died in 1954. She married Ed O'Dowd on Sept. 26, 1963. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, Ronald Lehmann, Topeka, and Mark Lehmann, Lawrence; two daughters, Kathy O'Dowd, Topeka, and Kelly Galbraith, Auburn; a brother, William Landers, Canyon Lake, Texas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.The family suggests memorials to Midland Hospice, 200 S.W.
