Don E. Page 1933 - 2005 Lawrence
Funeral services for Don E. Page, 71, Lawrence, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Girard Cemetery in Girard.Mr. Page died Friday, April 22, 2005, at his home.He was born Nov. 2, 1933, in Walnut, the son of Albert and Altha Mae Johnson Page.He graduated from Emporia State University in 1962 with a degree in secondary education. He later received a master's degree from Pittsburg State University and an educational specialist degree from Emporia State.Mr. Page was a retired teacher, coach and administrator. He had worked in Lamar, Mo.; Horton; Erie; and Spring, Texas. He spent the last 11 years of his career in Winnie, Texas.Mr. Page moved from Winnie to Lawrence in 1993. He was a former member of the Lions Club and Elks Club.He married Mary K. Fricke on Aug. 10, 1966, in Atchison. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include two daughters, Ann Stoll, Lawrence, and Lisa Wenger, Erie; a brother, Norman, Sunnyville, Calif.; four sisters, Mary Etta Smith, Farlington, Virginia Price, Redding, Calif., and Alene Geier and Brenda Cuthbertson, both of Girard; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
