Brenda Bernard 1943 - 2005 Mesa, Ariz.
Mesa, Ariz. - Services for Brenda Bernard, 61, Phoenix, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Christ the King Community Catholic Church in Mesa. Services in Lawrence, Kan., will be at a later date.Mrs. Bernard died Sunday, April 10, 2005, in Phoenix from a brain aneurysm.She was born Sept. 17, 1943, in Butler, Mo., the daughter of Harrison Traul and Marjorie Baldwin. She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1961.Mrs. Bernard was a bookkeeper and recently started a soapmaking business, Sumptuous Soap and Bath Products.She married Jerry Jones, and they later divorced.Survivors include her father and stepmother, Harrison and Roberta Traul, Lawrence; a son, James Jones, Florida; two daughters, Janine Jones, Avondale, and Jennifer Jackson, Mesa; two brothers, James and Eric Traul, both of Kansas; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.Melchers Chapel of the Roses in Mesa is in charge of arrangements.
