Steven Crowe 1995 - 2005 Mendham, N.J.
Mendham, N.J. - Mass of Christian Burial for Steven Crowe, 9, Mendham, will be at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church in Mendham. Burial will be in Mendham Hilltop Cemetery.Steven died Monday, April 11, 2005, at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, N.J., from Acute Myelogenous Leukemia.He was born Oct. 28, 1995, in Colts Neck, N.J., the son of Michael and Ellen Kawalek Crowe. He attended Hilltop Elementary School in Mendham. He had lived in Lawrence briefly before moving back to New Jersey in 1999.Steven played football for the Twin Boro Bears, soccer for the West Morris Soccer Club, baseball for Mendham Little League and ice hockey for the Morris County Youth Hockey League.Survivors include his parents, of the home; two brothers, Matthew and Patrick, of the home; a sister, Rebecca, of the home; paternal grandmother, Marie Crowe, and maternal grandmother, Carol Kawalek.The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Bailey Funeral Home in Mendham.The family suggests memorials to the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Program Research at Hackensack University Medical Center, 30 Prospect St. Hackensack, NJ 07601.
