Richard J. Baranczuk 1943 - 2005 Overland Park
Overland Park - Mass of Christian Burial for Richard J. Baranczuk, 61, Overland Park, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cure' of Ars Catholic Church in Leawood. Inurnment will follow in Johnson County Memorial Gardens Courtyard of Memories in the Compassion Columbarium.Mr. Baranczuk died Sunday, April 10, 2005, at his home.He was born Nov. 15, 1943, in Hrubieszow, Poland, the son of John and Stella Baranczuk. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University and a Master of Science degree from Northern Illinois University. He received his Ph.D. in endocrinology from the University of Georgia and also received a fellowship at Kansas University Medical Center.Mr. Baranczuk worked for PRL and owned a research and drug testing laboratory. He was most recently the CEO of Tumor Imaging Technology.He married Anita Skowron. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include his parents; a son, R. Christopher; a daughter, Beth Brubeck, Lawrence; a sister, Betty Nowak; and four grandchildren.The family will receive friends after the inurnment Saturday at the church.The family suggests memorials to the Breast Cancer Prevention Center, 3901 Rainbow Blvd. Suite 1347, Bell Mail Stop 3003, Kansas City, KS 66160.D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
