Eva Frances Wiggins 1918 - 2005 Olathe
Ottawa - Services for Eva Frances Wiggins, 86, Olathe, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at First Assembly of God Church in Ottawa.Mrs. Wiggins died Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at Aberdeen Village in Olathe.She was born May 27, 1918, in El Dorado, the daughter of Carl and Minnie Ore Coltrane. She graduated from Wellsville High School in 1936. She attended Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia and business school in Kansas City. She lived in Washington, D.C., from 1941 to 1944, before moving to Ottawa.Mrs. Wiggins worked for the Department of the Navy in Washington, D.C., and taught school in the Miami County School District and Ottawa. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school for many years. She served in Women's Ministries, Aglow Fellowship, Christian Women's Club and volunteered for Bible Light International.She married Russell Wiggins on Dec. 4, 1942, in Ottawa.Survivors include two sons, Russell Wiggins, Lawrence, and Wayne Wiggins, Overland Park; two daughters, Marilyn Sigmund, Olathe, and Carolyn Treadway, Faribault, Minn.; a sister, Dorothy Bushfield, Prairie Village; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.A daughter, Betty, died earlier.Friends may call after noon Sunday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Ottawa, where the family will receive them from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.The family suggests memorials to Sunflower Plaza, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
