Herbert H. "Herb" Thoren 1941 - 2008 Eudora
Services for Herbert H. "Herb" Thoren, 67, Eudora, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence. Mr. Thoren died Friday, April 11, 2008, at his home.He was born Feb. 10, 1941, in Lawrence, the son of Howard and Jane Hadl Thoren. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1959, the same year he received the State Farmer Award from the Future Farmers of America.Mr. Thoren was a truck driver from Dunbar for 12 years and worked as a farmer and milked cows. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and the Teamsters Union. He married Karon Corbin on May 1, 1964, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include his mother, of Eudora; one brother, Johnny Thoren, Eudora; two sisters, Laura Broers, Eudora, and Betty Thoren, Eudora.Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Eudora, where the family will greet them from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.The family suggests memorials to Neighbor Helping Neighbor through the Eudora United Methodist Church, sent in care of the mortuary, 1003 John L.
