Gary "Gordo" Pringle 1940 - 2006 Overbrook
A memorial gathering for Gary "Gordo" Pringle, 65, Overbrook, will be from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. A private inurnment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.Mr. Pringle died Friday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.He was born July 1, 1940, in Lawrence, the son of Loren and Roberta Copp Pringle. He attended Lawrence schools.Mr. Pringle worked for Ousdahl Construction as a heavy equipment operator and for Douglas County as a ground maintenance supervisor until he retired in 1993.He married Betty Lee Campbell on March 21, 1969, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, Jody, Lawrence, and John, Topeka; a daughter, Kimberly Powers, Salt Lake City; three brothers, Lawren Jr. and Delbert, both of Lawrence, and Robert, Baldwin; and three grandchildren.The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Assn., sent in care of the mortuary.E-mail condolences may be sent to info@warrenmcelwain.com, subject: Pringle.
