According to the report:

The four children, all of Wellsville, were riding in a Ford Focus driven by a 31-year-old Wellsville woman. She was southbound on Tennessee Road, entered the intersection and failed to yield to a Subaru Baja on the highway, which struck the Focus on the passenger side.

A 6-year-old girl who was unrestrained and a 12-year-old girl who was buckled up, sustained disabling injuries and were taken to Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa before being transferred to Children’s Mercy Hospital in the Kansas City area.

The driver of the Focus also sustained disabling injuries and was taken to a Kansas City area hospital. She was wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the Baja, a 40-year-old Ottawa man, also was listed as injured and taken to a Kansas City area hospital. He was wearing a seat belt.
