Letter to the editor: Expand the jail
To the editor:
My first reaction to the proposal of an increase in the jail and mental health campuses was ‘no.’
Then after reading the ‘no’ letters to the editor, I changed to an ‘absolutely yes’ vote. I suggest that all of the ‘no’ jail vote people provide in their own homes adequate living space for all of the inmates who cannot be properly accommodated in the current jail facilities.
The sales tax is the ideal way for payment of the jail and mental health campuses — not a property tax.
