Letter to the editor: More guns needed

To the editor:

I am a 99-year-old. At no time in my life has there not been a rifle or shotgun in my home. I have used many types of guns from a .22-caliber rifle to a 16-inch battleship turret gun. With all of the so called “common sense dictating sensible” gun laws, I recently joined the NRA. It is time for the gun law people to quit acting like they know what they are talking about.

It’s when men have guns quickly available that attackers are quickly stopped. The answer to the problem is:

1) Provide sufficiently qualified people with guns throughout the school.

2) Control school entry.

3) Adequately provide armed personnel for the school perimeter, playgrounds, etc.

This is what we do in many government and private buildings.
