Letter to the editor: Where am I?

To the editor:

After living almost 40 years in Chicago, I moved back to my home state Kansas and settled in Lawrence. After nine months living here I’m flummoxed with “mishaps” involving finances in the city of Lawrence and my property taxes “may” be going up.

Hello? Did I really leave Chicago and the state of Illinois? Don’t make me believe Lawrence is as woefully stupid as Chicago.

The city government of Lawrence hasn't driven off the cliff yet, but they're definitely headed for the edge.

They are not "stupid" Miss Cindy.

But, like Chicago, Lawrence government is woefully littered full of congenital Liberals.

You see, the Liberal is really good at taking other peoples money for their own selfish, greedy needs.

They are just never able to get enough of it.

So, like a parasite, the people under the influence of the Liberal gene, always need more of your money.

Who are the real takers?

The Conserative Condition in black and white:

Owsely County Kentucky. Highest food stamp use in the nation. 99% White. 95% Conservative Republicans.

95% of the poorest counties are Republican. 8 of the 10 poorest states are Republican. Red states take more from the Federal Government than they pay in.

Conservatives that's who...

Don't forget about California. "...SACRAMENTO — When Gov. Jerry Brown and the Legislature overhauled the state’s welfare program last month, some people learned a jarring fact for the first time: California has one-third of the nation’s welfare recipients. That California has a lot of people on welfare was not a secret. In addition to its size, the state has a long history of heavy focus on social services, in part because of years of Democratic dominance in Sacramento. But the size of California’s welfare rolls is disproportionate when you consider the state has only 12 percent of the nation’s population. Some of it has to do with the benefits being more generous than in many other states, but experts also point to various economic and social factors..." https://www.quora.com/Does-California-really-have-30-of-the-USAs-welfare-cases Where are your citations, SH?

"Don’t make me believe Lawrence is as woefully stupid as Chicago."...Am dying here....

It gets way better, Cindy. Particularly if you paty attention the "Mayberry" City Commission here in Lawrence. You should read up on the former Mayor of Lawrence, Jeremy Farmer, and try to get a better impression of this, once, good small town in the Midwest. Sorry, Cindy, but the joke is on you and has been on all Lawrencians for a long time.

The libtards that found our nice City by going to K.U. have now imbeded their selves in City government, Union, Teaching Staff, again Union, etc. and have turned this town 180 degrees from what it was 40 years ago.

Stupid as Chicago? Per capita, way more. Sorry Cindy. - Welcome back.

So, when are you going to step up and run for office Bill and change things? Or you just partake in a bunch of name calling on the blogs in the newspapers?
