To the editor:

Since I filed my federal income taxes yesterday, I thought I should take advantage of this by asking my elected representatives for a favor, so I sent them the following via email. I await the responses eagerly.

Dear (insert title and name here),

I am considering visiting the nation’s capital. I hear you can get lodging at a nice luxury condo for $50/night.

I’m not sure how to get this deal.

Can you hook me up?

Thanks.

Careful, The meaning of the phrase "hook me up" has changed a little and might imply something more than you were thinking. You certainly don't want to ask for anything questionable so I thought I'd point that out....

Not that any of our elected officials would be involved with either kind of "hook-up," of course.

Scott Pruitt, as the Trump appointed administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), has been "targeted" by the far left for carrying out the President's campaign promises.

Any one know a Kansas farmer that has an irrigation pond which came under Obama-era Waters Of The United States (WOTUS) regulations?

If a farmer's irrigation pond is polluting ground water and other people's wells and/or our rivers, how would you handle that? What would your solution be, Garry? What is your solution to agriculture pollution? Do you think it's okay for anyone to pollute anytime, as long as they are making money?

FOX News a reliable source of misinformation .....

I'm not sure why Trump supporters are not upset with the ethics violations of Pruitt. This is the swamp that Trump claims he wants to get rid of, and the rest of us really do want to get rid of. Lobbyists have been openly bribing our politicians for too long now. Whether or not you agree that pollution is good or bad for business, the "pollution" of these lobbyist, from all sides of the political spectrum, should be of great concern to us.
