Letter to the editor: Drawing the line

To the editor:

Where do we draw the line?

Where do we draw the line between tolerance and indoctrination?

The library has many programs throughout the year that bring attention to the LGBT cause. The most recent one is an event where a man dresses up like a woman and reads a book to little children. Is this promoting tolerance or is it indoctrinating our children into something that many find odd and others describe as just downright wrong?

Needless to say, I will not be taking my children to this event. But I am looking forward to the day when I see the library programs include at least one faithful-monogamous-heterosexual-lifestyle event to compliment every LGBT event.

You can call me a bigot or a homophobe. But I prefer to simply be called “Family Man.”
