To the editor:

Hey KU, how about ending the charade of a football program? It’s clearly apparent to anyone but an idiot that you aren’t serious about football anyway. You’ve done nothing but ruin the careers of any number of promising young coaches over the past 25 years or more by bringing them in on short term stints as a head coach, then dumping them after two to three years. Either move to Division II, where you might be competitive, or do as Wichita State did and drop football altogether. You might note that I’m writing from Oklahoma; however, I was born and raised in northeast Kansas and lived there for many years — long enough to witness your football dog and pony show go on and on.
