Lawrence High junior Lauren Maceli and Free State junior Rachel Hickman were named to the Kansas Volleyball Association’s Class 6A All-State team, announced Saturday.

Maceli and Hickman were both selected second-team all-state. Maceli, a 5-foot-6 libero, led Lawrence to its first 6A state tournament appearance since 2009 with a team-best 571 digs.

The 6-3 Hickman, a right-side hitter committed to the University of Kansas, broke Free State’s single-season and career kills records this season. She highlighted the Firebirds’ offense with 419 kills.
