To the Editor:

In his recent letter, Kenneth Mackenzie argues that we should give President Donald Trump a chance. Being Libertarian, I am not “on the left,” but I nonetheless disagree. Given the President’s track record to date, what are we supposed to give the man a chance to do?

Insult all of our allies, and not just the ones so far? (I don’t think he’s mentioned Costa Rica yet.)

Set climate change science back 20 years?

Alienate all of the 1 billion-plus Muslims in the world, instead of only the ones in a few countries?

Strip health insurance from millions of Americans while at the same time helping to further enrich his fellow billionaires?

Misread the North Koreans and so help bring on World War III?
