Letter to the editor: Secret legislation
To the editor:
Mr. Nowlin complains about the replacement for Obamacare being crafted in secrecy. I wonder if Mr. Nowlin remembers how the Obamacare health plan (2000 pages) was handled. Nancy Pelosi said, “You will have to pass it to know what is in it,” after it was secretly conceived and passed without bipartisan support. Most of the senators who voted on it never read it or understood it. Democrats should thank Republicans for coming up with a replacement, as Obamacare is imploding with most major insurers exiting this flawed legislation.
