Letter to the editor: Inexcusable absence

July 12, 2017

To the editor:

What stopped the Kansas secretary of state from attending this year’s meeting of the National Association of Secretaries of State in Indianapolis?

Most of the rest of the nation was represented by the people elected to administer their elections. Election integrity was a main topic. My fellow Kansans and I were not represented.

I am dumbfounded that someone who had the time to write every secretary of state in America (for a position he was recently appointed to) did not have time to attend this meeting to represent the office he was elected to and swore to serve faithfully.

The other secretaries of state noted the absence of the person who wrote them all earlier in the week in a slapdash attempt to amass personal voter information. Some found it ironic.

I find it inexcusable.

Maybe Kobach stayed away from the national Secretaries of State meeting from fear that he would be lynched.

Maybe that's also why he's a no-show at his job in Kansas.

Excellent letter. Above all, we must make sure that KK has no way to be present in the Kansas Governor's mansion.

Uh........did you mean to say "KKK" I agree.

I wouldn't go that far, but I can see why some would.

Kobach is too busy visiting Koch/ALEC secret meetings in addition to campaigning for the following:

This ongoing support for conservatives…. the spenders of large amounts of special interest money is mind numbing. There is no reason for any such activity.

37 years of voting conservative candidates posing as republicans into office has provided what?

--- War on public education

--- War against women

--- War on Voters Rights

--- War On Good Wages aka Right To Work Legislation

--- War On USA Jobs aka Free Trade Agreements and Leveraged Buyout Scams

--- War On Social Security Insurance

--- War On Medicaid

--- War On Medicare

--- War for Oil Control Worldwide

But the voters in Kansas LOVE him!! He might be the next President of the United States. The non- election of Trump makes this horrific possibility very real.

But I will probably be dead by then. Living in Hell will be preferable to living in what is to become of this country with the clueless voters we see today.
