Letter to the editor: Don’t do it here
To the editor:
Being a citizen of Lawrence, I question that the climate we have here in Kansas could support a year-round facility at Clinton Lake like Mr. Jeff Wise mentions they have in Charlotte, N.C., with whitewater rafting, kayaking, ziplines and his ideas of other amenties. I think Mr. Wise needs to take his wise idea of these sports, and zipline park and go farther south to Texas, unless he himself wants to pay the $70 million to develop the facility. I don’t feel this would be a good investment for our area here in Kansas.
