Letter to the editor: Scrutinize football

To the editor:

The staff editorial published on Nov. 26 calls for a review of campus greek life, “as the number of students killed or seriously harmed by fraternity rituals mounts.” What might this same lens of scrutiny look like applied to college football? In a season where two players died from injuries suffered in games, others experienced concussions likely to result in life-altering impairments, and multiple programs deal with sexual assault allegations involving their players, these same “serious conversations” are surely needed.
