To the editor:

I would like to add my thoughts to those of others who do not approve of the Kasold Drive plan. In my opinion, it’s a useless project, costing millions of dollars.

Living just a few blocks from Ninth and Kasold, my neighbor and I attended the meeting sponsored by CFS Engineers. It quickly became clear that these people had an agenda, and that included ignoring our questions. They were determined to push through the plan for an expensive roundabout and narrowing a four-lane street to two lanes between Eighth and 14th streets. We were given two choices of plans, both including a roundabout.

When I asked how this would affect persons in the neighborhood and the possibility of having the bus route on Kasold, the answer was “That’s another department!” I hope that the city will consider all our complaints, and turn this project down.
