Olathe ? Free State High junior Emily Venters placed first in her class Thursday at the Olathe East Class Classic cross country meet.

FSHS senior Ethan Donley and freshman Grant Holmes placed second in their classes, Avant Edwards was third in the sophomore boys division, and Calvin Yost-Wolf took eighth in the junior boys division.

In addition to Venters, freshman Sarah Walpole (third), sophomore Alvena Walpole (fourth) and senior Marcella Ellebracht (11th) led the FSHS girls.
