Letter: Never too late

To the editor:

The Supreme Court’s decision will actually cause gays, the gay community, our nation to be losers. It’s simple. The court ruled against God’s righteous standards as they did in 1973 with Roe v. Wade. The nation seems to be waking up from their flawed thinking in that more young people have figured out that it’s really a baby and not a fetus.

The practice of homosexuality is a sin and that can only be dealt with by repentance, the acknowledgement of the sin and the turning to God so that he can bring the life he wants. Repentance is God’s solution for all of us since we all sin. It is a “conscience” decision of our will to acknowledge his truth and to be obedient to his truth, not what we think is true.

The June 21 USA Today article spoke about celebrations in New York and other locations. I can tell you that there is more joy in heaven when a sinner repents than all their combined joy. Once again, the truth of Ecclesiastes 3:16-17 is realized to Friday’s decision: “Moreover, I saw under the sun that in the place of justice, even there was wickedness, and in the place of righteousness, even there was wickedness. I said in my heart, God will judge the righteous and the wicked, for there is a time for every matter and for every work.” I think his time of judgment is getting much closer. It is never too late to repent.
