Lawrence Police are investigating after a man robbed the Walgreens store at West Sixth Street and Kasold Drive.

Police were called to the store shortly before 3:30 Monday morning after the suspect had fled the store.

Employees described the suspect as a white male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was last seen wearing dark clothing and a black mask.

According to radio traffic, the suspect was armed with a black pistol and demanded money from a cash register. Police believe the suspect ran south along Kasold Drive and then left the area in a small, red or maroon, passenger car.

No other details were immediately available.
