Topeka ? Lawrence High’s girls track-and-field team claimed five titles and placed a close second in the team race at the Topeka Relays on Friday.

Jensen Edwards won the 400, Kaytlin Riedesel won the pole vault, Rebecca Finley claimed the shot put and discus titles and the team of Edwards, Myah Yoder, Leah Gabler and Marissa Pope won the 4X400 relay.

Manhattan won the team title with 118 points, while LHS was second at 115.

On the boys side, Trey Moore won the 110 hurdles and the 300 hurdles as the Lions placed seventh with 62.5 points. Topeka Seaman won with 127.5.

“It was a pretty good meet for us,” Lawrence coach Jack Hood said. “For the girls, a really good meet. Trey Moore dropped a ton of time. Jensen, Myah, Leah and Marissa all had great meets.”

LHS will host the Little KU Relays at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
