Letter: Most qualified?
To the editor:
Was anyone in the Western Hemisphere surprised when Gov. Brownback appointed Caleb Stegall to the Kansas Supreme Court? I doubt it. After all, just like Brownback, Stegall is an ultra right-wing political hack with no qualifications for any judicial job.
Brownback’s astonishing statement that Stegall is “one of the most qualified people ever to go to the Kansas Supreme Court” made me laugh out loud. Brownback passed over a judge with over 20 years of experience on the bench for a neophyte whose only prize in life has been being declared winner of the worst haircut in Kansas.
