Recipe submissions sought for ‘New Kansas Cookbook’
The University Press of Kansas, along with authors Frank and Jayni Carey are seeking recipes from Kansas cooks — both amateur and professional — for possible inclusion in “The New Kansas Cookbook.”
The Careys, of Lawrence, are the authors of “The Kansas Cookbook: Recipes from the Heartland,” which came out 25 years ago. The new book is meant to chronicle how Kansans cook today –in the era of farmers’ markets, artisan foods and locally sourced ingredients.
Kansans can submit their recipes via Facebook at www.facebook.com/newkansascookbook or by mail to The New Kansas Cookbook, P.O. Box 1351, Lawrence KS 66044. Residents whose recipes are selected will receive a free copy of the book.
