Justina Tina Altamirano Mosso

Fifteen days after she was found slain in a Lawrence apartment, 19-year-old Justina “Tina” Altamirano Mosso was buried Monday in Guerrero, Mexico, Mosso’s cousin Elizabeth Castro said Tuesday.

Mosso’s body was found amid a violent scene Nov. 9 at Cedarwood Apartments, 1727 W. 24th St., as Lawrence police responded to a call to check on her. Police have yet to name a suspect in her death and no arrests have been made, according to Lawrence Police Department spokesman Sgt. Trent McKinley.

Anyone with information on her death is asked to call the Lawrence Police Department at 785-832-7509 or CrimeStoppers at 785-843-TIPS (8477). Calls made to CrimeStoppers can be made anonymously and callers with information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
