To the editor:

We are very relieved the elections are over. We were extremely tired of the TV ads and mailings, much of which was a collection of deceit, half-truths and outright fabrications. Some candidates names were smeared and linked to drugs, sexual misconduct, fraud, rape and murder. Some candidates conducted themselves in an unmanly, undignified and un-Christian manner. I have lost respect and trust for many who ran for office.

Also, just think of how better the millions spent on campaign TV ads and literature could have been spent!  One idea could have been to help with the national health plan so many despise for being too costly! Also, apparently only about 50 percent of voters turned and, to those who did not vote, you deserve whatever leadership you will get!
