Letter: Evil attorney?

To the editor:

I find it humorous that Lynn Jenkins is constantly referring to her newly announced opponent, Margie Wakefield, as a “divorce attorney,” with the powerful implication that there is something intrinsically evil about that.

If memory serves, Ms. Jenkins won her initial election to Congress running on a strong “family values” program. If she used those two words once, she used them 500 times during her candidacy. About a month after her successful election, her husband filed for a divorce. Overlooking the probability that this filing was delayed by mutual agreement until after the election so she could keep babbling “family values, family values,”  one has to wonder if she used her CPA skills in that proceeding, or indeed retained an evil divorce attorney.
