Lawrence Police are investigating after a vehicle struck a tree early Friday.

Officers were called to the 800 block of Broadview Drive around 1:10 a.m.. Police arrived to find a man injured inside the vehicle and requested Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical crews respond.

Medics transported the 27-year-old man to Lawrence Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

The man was reportedly not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
