Letter: Exasperated Kansan
To the editor:
The main thing that I have learned from following the proposed freedom-to-discriminate legislation in Kansas is that equality will be tolerated by our Republican leaders only if inequality proves to be bad for business. There is no concern for our fellow citizens who are the subject of the proposed discrimination — only concern for the effect such discrimination will have on the business community.
Our state motto should be changed to ad astra per exaspera (to equality with great exasperation).
