AARP Foundation to offer free tax assistance at three Douglas County locations

The AARP Foundation’s Tax-Aide program will once again provide free tax assistance and preparation for taxpayers with low to moderate income in three Douglas County locations.

The service begins the first week of February and continues through April 15. You do not need to be a retiree or an AARP member to take place in the service, although special attention is given to those aged 60 or older.

The service is will be provided at the following locations:

• The Lawrence Senior Center, 745 Vermont St. in Lawrence. Phone: 785-856-0365.

• The Lumberyard Arts Center, 718 High St. in Baldwin City. Phone: 785-594-3411.

• The Oskaloosa Public Library, 315 Jefferson St. in Oskaloosa. Phone: 785-863-2637.
