A car fire along mile marker 205 of Interstate 70 near Lawrence has slowed traffic, according to an alert from the Kansas Turnpike Authority.

The alert said the car in question is situated in a westbound lane one mile east of the Lawrence exit. Traffic is slow and vehicles should be prepared to stop, according to the alert.

Douglas County dispatchers said no medical crews have been sent to the scene and there have not been any reported injuries.
